Faculty of Education faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Küçük DEMİR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut ÖZTÜRK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilşad Güven AKDENİZ and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge ÖZTÜRK carried out meaningful activities with primary school mathematics teaching and science teaching students at Gökçedere Imam-Hatip Middle School. These activities consisted of applications using digital and concrete materials for middle school students.

The activities included activities prepared within the scope of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Küçük DEMİR's "Association in Mathematics Teaching", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut ÖZTÜRK and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilşad Güven AKDENİZ's "Computer-Assisted Mathematics Teaching" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge ÖZTÜRK's "Material Design in Science Teaching" courses. Teacher candidates had the opportunity to transfer the knowledge they acquired in these courses to Gökçedere Imam-Hatip Middle School students.

The Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Sedat MADEN and Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa DEMİR also participated and supported the events. Prof. Dr. MADEN emphasized that the events are of great importance in terms of providing students with practical experience as well as developing their teaching skills.

Middle school students stated that they had both an enjoyable and productive time thanks to the applications made with digital and concrete materials carried out by teacher candidates. Teacher candidates contributed to the education processes with interactive and creative activities for the students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Küçük DEMİR, who stated that such events will continue, said, "It is very important for our students to gain such experiences in the field for their professional development. The events held with Gökçedere Imam-Hatip Middle School students provided future teachers with an opportunity to practice."

The Department of Mathematics and Science Education aims to continue such events increasingly. All faculty members and participants who contributed to the education processes were thanked.
