STUDENT COUNSELING REGULATIONS.
Duties of the student advisor;
ARTICLE 6 –
(1) The advisor guides the student by contributing to their academic success, personal and social development. When necessary, responds to the evaluation requests of the Administration in this context.
(2) (Amended: Sen. 06.05.2015-28/07) The advisor performs the following duties for the Associate / Undergraduate students during their education period:
a) Contributes to the solution of students' problems related to education and training.
b) (Amended: Sen. 25.04.2014-22/05) Assists students in course registration, course selection and course enrollment procedures at the beginning of each semester and approves the procedures for renewing registration, taking and selecting courses. The advisor carries out course enrollment procedures according to the method specified in the Bayburt University Regulations and the decisions taken by the relevant boards.
c) The advisor monitors all current regulations and guidelines regarding education and uses this information to guide students. Informs the student about exam and disciplinary regulations.
c) Directs students to resources that will provide information about exchange programs and opportunities for studying abroad.
d) Directs students to services that support their development in all aspects of psychosocial development in order to ensure that they are successful in their educational activities.
e) Allocates at least one hour of time per week to the students he/she advises and announces this.
f) Assists the relevant boards in solving problems related to the students he/she advises.
h) Keeps a file for each student. This file includes the documents specified in Article 7 and other documents recommended by the relevant unit.
ı) In the event of graduation or termination of the student he/she advises, he/she delivers these files to the Department Head.
i) In the event of the termination of his/her advisory duty, he/she delivers the student file in his/her possession to the next advisor.
j) Provides information to the student he/she advises to prepare him/her for the post-graduation period.
