It has been reported by the Turkish Academy of Sciences that applications for the 2025 TÜBA TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award have started, applications will be made on t3kys.com until March 3, 2025, and the awards will be given in the categories of Science and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social and Human Sciences and Basic Sciences.

TÜBA established the "TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award" in 2021 in order to reward doctoral theses produced from Turkey in the areas considered among the priority areas of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest space, aviation and technology event, of which it has been a stakeholder since 2019. These awards, which have become traditional, are in four categories; As a result of the scientific referee evaluations carried out in the fields of Science and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social and Human Sciences and Basic Sciences, it is given to the thesis owners who are entitled to the first, second and third place.

TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award; Technology and Design, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Autonomous Systems, Robotics and Mechatronic Systems, Modeling and Simulation Technologies, Energy, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technologies, Technologies for Air, Space and Unmanned Underwater Systems, Information and Communication Technologies, Cyber Security and Cryptology, Education, Health, Agriculture and Ecology Technologies and Biotechnology, International Relations of the National Technology Move, Development Policies, Educational Approaches, Authors of doctoral theses on Security Policies can apply.

Applications for the TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award can be made institutionally in the form of proposals by TÜBA Members and YÖK, TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB and University Rectorships, as well as individual applications. Award applications to be made digitally to www.t3kys.com must be from doctoral theses produced in Turkey for the original thematic topics defined above, whose defense has been completed within the last 2 years (2023, 2024). The choice of application area is the responsibility of the candidate, TÜBA is not responsible for field incompatibility. Candidates who have applied for the award in the past years will be able to apply again, provided that they state and document that there is an increase in performance such as additional new publications, patents, products related to their theses in their scientific files, which are important within the evaluation criteria in the referee evaluation process, and provided that they have completed their theses in the years announced in the application condition.

As a result of the scientific evaluation processes of doctoral theses on subjects considered among the priority areas of TEKNOFEST within the scope of the Award Program, for 2025 with the decision of the TÜBA Council; 100,000 Turkish Liras will be awarded to the first thesis author, 80,000 Turkish Liras to the second and 65,000 Turkish Liras to the third.

Candidates; application form, Turkish CVs in Yöksis format, full copy of the thesis, Yöksis and/or Yöktez registration information, purpose and method of the thesis, scientific ethics permission (in thesis studies deemed necessary), publications produced from the thesis and/or the list of those that have turned into patents or commercial products, document, if any, national and international scientific studies and information of the institute where the thesis is carried out (certification that the thesis has been studied and carried out in institutions in Turkey). Files that do not contain this information will not be evaluated.
