Within the scope of the competition, which was announced on April 26, 2024 and started as of May 1, 2024, within the scope of World Intellectual Property Day, university students studying in associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs can participate on the website epats.turkpatent.gov.tr until December 15, 2024. They will be able to participate in the competition by logging into the system via e-Government and applying for a free online patent.
Patent applications made by university students will be evaluated by a distinguished jury within the framework of certain criteria. At the Award Ceremony, which will be held in 2025 and in which our Minister will attend if he/she is eligible, the winner of the competition will be awarded 100,000 TL, the second 80,000 TL, the third 60,000 TL, the fourth to sixth 50,000 TL, the seventh to tenth 40,000 TL, and the eleventh winner 100,000 TL. Prizes of 30,000 TL each will be given for a total of 850,000 TL. Additionally, successful applicants will be encouraged to participate in national and international invention fairs to promote their inventions.
