Dede Korkut Application and Research Center, within Bayburt University, to trace the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Dede Korkut in Bayburt and its region, which is located within the historical geography of Dede Korkut narratives. For this purpose, primarily dialect studies;
To conduct research on Dede Korkut heritage in terms of epics, folk stories, tales, jokes or various artistic products
To conduct scientific studies for Dede Korkut, which is included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative List under the name of “Dede Korkut Heritage: Epic, Tale and Music”, to be permanently included in the UNESCO World Heritage List
To carry the encompassing and unifying power of Dede Korkut emphasized in Turkish epics and stories and the universal values that stand out in Turkish beliefs, lifestyles and action practices to the context of universal values through various interdisciplinary studies.
