The project titled "Current Approaches in Nutrition and Dietetics", whose project manager and coordinator is our faculty member Dr. Lecturer Fatma Cebeci, has been awarded support within the scope of the TUBITAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program.
Within the scope of this event, topics such as microbiota and nutrition, the effect of popular diets on microbiota, the use of artificial intelligence applications in the field of nutrition and dietetics, in-depth examination of the effects of taste perception on nutrition and various nutritional interventions were discussed. In this context, this training program was carried out theoretically by experts in the field to students who need up-to-date information and approaches to problems in the field of nutrition and dietetics through face-to-face training. The program duration was planned as 15 hours and 2 days in total.
The project, which added a new one to the project-oriented solution applications aimed at the priority topics targeted to be realized within the context of Bayburt University's "Access to Current Information, Creating Awareness, Sustainable Nutrition, Contribution to Different Fields" goals, provided training in the fields of health sciences within the scope of the event hosted by Bayburt University on October 9-10, 2023. In the event, where academicians from Bayburt University also participated as instructors, instructors from Necmettin Erbakan University, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University and KTO Karatay University also took part. Making a statement about the general content and importance of the project, Dr. Lecturer Fatma Cebeci said, “The event aims to examine the latest developments in health sciences and technologies, increase the level of knowledge in the field of nutrition and demonstrate current artificial intelligence applications in the field. As a result of the training to be provided, the participants will be able to take more entrepreneurial roles in the field of health and gain knowledge, thus supporting the development of the country, which will increase the widespread impact of the project. I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, our Vice Rector and Technology Transfer Office Manager Prof. Dr. Ali Savaş Bülbül and the staff of our Technology Transfer Office for providing administrative motivation support during the preparation and implementation processes of this project.”
