Our University, which signed 67 of the 635 applications made on a provincial basis from Bayburt to the call for project competitions of TEKNOFEST 2024, which will be held in Adana with the motto "You are the Future with TEKNOFEST", increased the number of applications more than 5 times from 12 in the previous year. 

The 10th edition of TEKNOFEST, which appeals to a wide audience as Turkey's largest aviation and space festival, will be held in Adana in 2024. TEKNOFEST, which was organized for the first time in 2018 and every year more competition categories were opened compared to the previous year, hosted the largest prize-winning technology competitions in Turkey's history, and this year it called for 117 sub-categories in 46 main categories. Our University, which has previously experienced the excitement of the finals in TEKNOFEST, where tens of thousands of project applications were made from primary, secondary and higher education levels, will compete with 67 projects prepared by our students with the consultancy of the Technology Transfer Office to leave the competitions with a prize of over 30 million liras and material support of over 55 million liras. 

Pointing out that the 5 times increase in interest in TEKNOFEST competitions is a pleasing development, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen said, "This development is not a pleasant coincidence; on the contrary, it was a correct and well-planned goal. In the competitions, which offer an important opportunity for universities, which are the most important stakeholders of our country's national technology move, to realize themselves, we have a target of 100 project applications and 5 finals every year by 2025. This year, our target was 50 and we exceeded our goals. We are determined to carry our success in TÜBİTAK 2209 student projects to TEKNOFEST and become the face of our country. I would like to thank our Technology Transfer Office, students and advisors who have contributed a lot to this consistent success. The fact that TEKNOFEST receives applications as a team is also important in terms of exemplifying the collective working climate that our project culture has reached."
