Construction Technology Program
The construction technology program of the construction department, which is among the first departments of Aydıntepe Vocational School, started to accept students in the 2016-1017 academic year. There are 40 student quotas in formal education. Educational activities; It is carried out with 3 lecturers. Apart from the classes in which the students are educated, by using the other laboratories and technology classes within the Vocational School adequately; basic computer applications, CAD applications and all kinds of presentation viewing opportunities are available.
Purpose of the Program:
construction technicians; It constitutes the professional group working as technical staff in natural resources, transportation/highway, building departments and material testing laboratories of public or local administrations, actively involved in building constructions such as dams, roads, airports, residences, etc. Professional practice knowledge of technicians, who are generally the transition element between the engineer and the workers at the construction site, is of great importance.
In this context, the aim of the Construction Technology Program is to follow the technology closely, to know the issues such as the use, design, management and control of appropriate materials and equipment in various construction structures, to determine whether the construction materials comply with the standards through experiments, To train technical staff who can carry out the studies through experimentation, can interpret the results obtained in basic knowledge and practice on soil and hydraulics, prepare exploration and work programs, read and interpret existing projects, calculate the construction cost, and acquire the skills of land measurement, recording and casting.
Required Qualifications and Working Conditions
Those who want to be a construction technology technician should be people who are interested in mathematics and geometry and are successful in this field, have a high ability to see shape and space relations, can cooperate with others, and are physically strong. Severe impairment in vision, hearing, hands and feet hinders the execution of the profession.
Construction technology technicians building, road, bridge, etc. They work at construction sites. The working environment is dirty and dusty. He works in an office environment during the project review phase. The construction technician provides communication and coordination between engineers, technicians and workers, and works with subcontractors and architects when necessary. It is about both materials and people in the workplace.
Main Courses Taught in the Program
In this program, for professional competencies; Information and communication technologies, technical drawing, building materials, mechanics and statics, environmental protection, concrete technology, building technology, strength, building statics, measurement information, profession picture, highway construction, soil mechanics, reinforced concrete, steel structures, water supply and transmission Basic field courses such as building repair and strengthening, building quantity and cost are taught.
Graduates' Fields of Study
Graduates of the Construction Technology Program receive the title of Construction Technician. As a Construction Technician in the construction sector, which is the most important sector of our country, the graduates of the program; They have employment opportunities both in the public sector (Ministry of Environment and Urbanization; Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs and their affiliated organizations, provincial and district municipalities, etc.), and in the private sector. Some of the numerous fields of study for program graduates include:
