The project, which adds a new project-focused solution to the priority topics targeted within the scope of Bayburt University's integrated quality management goals, is expected to provide a local context to the country's initiatives aimed at obtaining patents and external financing. As part of the event held on Bayburt University's online platform on March 7-8, 2024, undergraduate students studying health sciences from various regions and universities received training on topics such as science and ethics, literature review, access to scientific information, TÜBİTAK programs and priority research areas, health technologies, e-health applications, artificial intelligence in healthcare, Internet of Things (IoT) in health, financial support for business ideas, patent processes, and technology-focused entrepreneurship in healthcare. In addition to academic staff from Bayburt University serving as trainers, instructors from Necmettin Erbakan University, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, and KTO Karatay University also participated.
Dr. Lecturer Kılınç, who made a statement regarding the general content and significance of the project, said, “With this event, we aim to examine recent developments in health science and technologies, increase awareness of obtaining patents and securing financing for health-related projects, and promote an understanding of entrepreneurship in health. Through the training provided, the project aims to enable participants to take on more entrepreneurial roles in healthcare and gain knowledge of patent processes, thereby enhancing the project’s widespread impact in supporting national development. I would like to thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, our Vice-Rector and Director of the Technology Transfer Office, Prof. Dr. Ali Savaş Bülbül, and the staff of our Technology Transfer Office for their managerial motivation and support in the preparation and implementation phases of this project.”
