1) Who can benefit from Bayburt University Library?

Bayburt University academic and administrative staff and students can benefit.

2) I am not a member or student of Bayburt University, can I use the library?

Yes, our library accepts users from outside, but materials are not loaned to these users.

3) What days and hours of the week is the library open?

Our library is open during the academic year between 08.00-22.00 on weekdays and 10.00-20.00 on Saturdays.

4) How can I reach the librarian if I have any questions?

You can ask your questions directly to the librarian while you are inside the library building, or by using the “ask the librarian” page on our website if you are outside the library.

5) How many materials can I borrow as a library member and for how long can I use them?

Academic staff and graduate and doctoral students can borrow up to 5 books for 21 days, administrative staff can borrow up to 3 books for 15 days; associate and undergraduate students of the university can borrow up to 3 books for 15 days.

6) How can I extend the usage period of the resource I borrow?

You can extend the duration of the resource you borrowed by using your user account through the automation system without coming to the library or by coming to the library. You have the right to extend it once via the web; the extension button becomes active five days before your return. The duration of books reserved by another reader cannot be extended.

7) What is the late payment penalty when I exceed the usage period of the resource I borrowed and how is it applied?
For publications that are not returned on time, the member is charged a five-day penalty of not being able to borrow books for each day the return date is overdue.

8) How can I reserve a resource?

You can perform the reservation process by logging in as a user through the automation system YORDAM. The reservation process can only be applied to resources that are on loan.

9) Can I borrow a book or extend the term of a book on behalf of someone else?

The user must be the user to borrow and extend the term of the material. Only the return transaction can be made on behalf of someone else.


10) Who can benefit from the interlibrary cooperation system?

Anyone who is a Bayburt University staff member can benefit from this system.

11) How can I request a book from the interlibrary cooperation system?

You can come to our library and talk to the relevant librarian or fill out the ILL request form on our website and send it to us.

12) Can I extend the term of the book I borrowed from between libraries?

If the library we borrow from allows it, an extension can be requested.

13) Do I have to pay any fee to benefit from this service?

Books are provided via cargo. The person who requests the cargo fee pays.
