Bayburt University holds a Zero Waste Certificate with the number TS/69/B2/6/1, issued by the Bayburt Governorate's Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Provincial Directorate, valid until December 23, 2025, as part of the Zero Waste Regulation.
A working team has been established to implement the Zero Waste Management System. Regular planning, training and awareness activities, monitoring and record-keeping, as well as improvement activities, are being carried out.
Under the Zero Waste Project, the collected waste types are stored in the university's temporary storage area and are sent to licensed recycling/disposal facilities within the maximum allowed time. The amounts of collected waste are recorded and entered into the Zero Waste Information System of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change.
