The Environmental Management Office of Bayburt University was established with the Senate decision numbered 2020/16, dated 30/01/2020. The Environmental Management Office consists of four coordinatorships: Environmental Education, Landscaping, Zero Waste, and Hazardous Waste. A total of five personnel, including the management board, work at the Environmental Management Office.
Within the scope of environmental regulations, including the Zero Waste project, infrastructure establishment, providing necessary training, preventing and reducing waste generation, and ensuring the separate collection of waste at the source by its types for recycling are carried out. We ensure that waste generated at different points in our university is separated at its source, collected and temporarily stored in accordance with technical methods, and manage the processes of sending it to institutions licensed by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change for disposal or recycling.
