Leadership, Governance, and Quality Policy

In line with the development plans, strategic plan goals, and objectives of Bayburt University, it has created its Leadership, Governance, and Quality Policy based on the following principles to ensure the provision of quality education services while adhering to quality standards and ethical values:

  1. Adopt quality management and continuous improvement processes, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
  2. Make administrative decisions based on ethical values, establishing transparency and participatory governance, involving stakeholders' participation and feedback, and ensuring institutionalization and sustainability.
  3. Maintain a mission of leadership in education and research by striving for excellence in education and science, while being a value-adding institution for all stakeholders.
  4. Support students' academic and personal development with a student-centered approach and continuously monitor student satisfaction.
  5. Strengthen internal communication and activate communication among academics and administrative staff, ensuring fair and efficient use of information and resources.
  6. Encourage our staff to deliver services and business processes in line with ethical values, in a respectful, fair, and transparent manner.
  7. Guide our employees towards continuous improvement and innovative thinking, ensuring they quickly adapt to changing educational needs.
  8. Fulfill our environmental and social responsibilities in accordance with international sustainability principles.

Education Policy

Our university aims to educate individuals who are knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their profession, who have learned how to learn, are productive, and are sensitive to environmental and social issues, through an education system that is based on critical thinking and applied learning, and is tailored to different disciplines in a student-centered manner. The goal is to produce individuals who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required by their profession.

In this regard, our education policy is as follows:

  1. Design and implement learning-focused programs tailored to local and national needs and the requirements of the modern world, ensuring they are taught by qualified instructors, and cultivating individuals who are respectful of human rights, adopt ethical values, can use information and technology, are self-confident, and can express themselves.
  2. Ensure that graduates of our programs become experts who contribute to science, culture, and art, engage in lifelong learning, question societal issues, and use stakeholder-based tools and knowledge to solve problems collaboratively. Graduates are expected to become pioneers in their region and country.
  3. Enrich and dynamically run the teaching and learning processes using various methods, techniques, and interactive tools, continuously improving and developing the programs to meet stakeholders' expectations.
  4. Adopt a student-centered approach in decision-making processes regarding education, ensuring student representation and delivering educational services with innovative approaches, including the digital transformation of education.
  5. Integrate education and teaching processes with research and development, social contribution, and internationalization processes, prioritizing scientific and technological advancements and quality-focused work, and ensuring the accreditation and continuous development of education programs.

R&D (Research and Development) Policy

In line with the strategic plan and vision defined by BAYÜ and in accordance with the university's mission and values, we adhere to the following principles in conducting research and development activities:

  1. Align with the institution's mission, vision, core values, strategic plan, and quality policy.
  2. Adhere to BAYÜ's ethical principles and rules.
  3. Comply with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  4. Increase the number of academic, scientific, and social publications listed in national and international indexes.
  5. Increase the number of nationally and internationally recognized projects, patents, and utility models.
  6. Encourage the production of products that contribute to the regional and national economy by considering the conditions and needs of the region.
  7. Contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about agriculture and animal husbandry to the local and regional public.
  8. Provide necessary support to academic staff and students to contribute to research and development activities, introduce tools for developing new ideas, and organize relevant training programs.
  9. Support academic staff in transforming R&D outputs into commercial products and establishing companies.

Social Contribution Policy

Bayburt University, in line with its mission, vision, core values, strategic plan, and quality policy, adopts the following principles as part of its social contribution policy:

  1. Engage in activities that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing regional and national needs and contributing to stakeholders.
  2. Reflect the institution's research and participatory identity to society while highlighting local and regional values.
  3. Conduct research to address societal problems and share the results for the benefit of the community.
  4. Develop innovative solutions and creative approaches in collaborative projects with civil society, the public sector, private sector, and all stakeholders, supporting regional and national development.
  5. Promote the continuous protection and development of regional resources and environmental values through activities and collaborations, raising awareness for their sustainable use.
  6. Provide lifelong learning-based education and development programs to support the growth of stakeholders.
  7. Ensure that all social contribution activities follow ethical rules and universal values, protecting and enhancing local and cultural heritage.
  8. Encourage students' active participation in social contribution activities, providing opportunities for them to contribute to their development and the community.

Internationalization Policy

Bayburt University adopts the following principles as its Internationalization Policy within the framework of its mission, vision, strategic plan, integrated quality management system principles, and student-centered approach to education:

  1. Present educational programs by considering both national and international developments.
  2. Collaborate on joint projects with universities recognized domestically and internationally, based on its scientific infrastructure and capacity.
  3. Encourage the participation of staff and students in international exchange programs to enhance international mobility and enrich their knowledge and experience.
  4. Increase awareness, recognition, and cooperation with the cultures and values of other countries, especially through international student exchanges and activities.
  5. Actively participate in European Union programs and projects, and make the region attractive for collaboration with EU countries.
  6. Ensure that all processes related to international mobility and student admissions are conducted digitally.
  7. Continuously improve internationalization processes based on feedback from academic and administrative staff, students, and international students.
