Banking and Insurance Program Description
Purpose of the Program
Banking and Insurance Associate Degree Program aims to increase and update the level of knowledge of those working in the banking and insurance sectors; to prepare those who intend to work in these sectors for the profession and to prepare those who do not intend to work in these sectors, but who work in various institutions and organizations and have intensive relations with banks and insurance companies to have information on these issues.
Profile of the Program
The curriculum of the Banking and Insurance Program, which covers four semesters, includes courses aimed at gaining professional skills and qualifications. While the students are taught the theoretical knowledge required for the profession, they are also made to do professional practices and gain skills related to the profession. On the other hand, Banking and Insurance Program students have a compulsory 30-day internship. Students of the Banking and Insurance Program, who have the opportunity to improve themselves by making professional practices during the internship, must have their internships accepted by the Board of Directors of the School in order to graduate.
Duration of Education and Language of Education
The education period of Banking and Insurance Associate Degree Program is 2 years (4 semesters) and the language of instruction is Turkish.

Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS), to obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the summer internship (30 working days).

Students who successfully complete the Banking and Insurance Associate Degree Program will have the following knowledge, skills and competencies:

- Have the necessary accounting knowledge.
- Can follow the innovations in computer and program technology related to the field.

- Explains the importance of professional ethics in business life.
- Have knowledge and equipment in the field of banking.
- To have sufficient knowledge about insurance companies and their types.
- Have knowledge and equipment in the field of insurance.
- Have the necessary mathematics and statistics infrastructure.
- Explains the importance of individual or group research, development and execution on issues related to the field.
- Have knowledge about public relations and communication.
- Have professional marketing knowledge related to the field.
- Recognize the concepts related to credit and fund management.
Earned Degree and Title
Students who successfully complete the program are entitled to receive a diploma as Banking and Insurance Associate Degree Graduate.
Vertical Transfer Opportunities
Banking and Insurance graduates; If they are successful in DGS, they also have the opportunity to transfer to formal education or transfer to related Open Education undergraduate programs. If students are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam;
