Our Purpose, Work and Duties
        The main purpose of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is to train engineers who contribute to society by providing
scientific knowledge and technology at the highest quality standards, are committed to ethical values, environmentally
 sensitive and have a sense of responsibility, in accordance with the mission and vision of the university. The faculty 
of Humanities and Social Sciences supports students in acquiring lifelong learning habits by using modern infrastructure, 
laboratory facilities and advanced technologies in education and training processes. The faculty of humanities and 
social sciences, which encourages its academic staff in innovative research and entrepreneurial activities, 
directs the studies of students at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels in line with the needs 
of the country and the region. It also aims to develop students' practical skills.

       Bayburt University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was officially opened and started education with the decision 
numbered 2015/7723 published in the Official Gazette numbered 29377 on Friday, June 05, 2015, and students were first 
admitted to the Departments of History and Turkish Language and Literature in the 2016-2017 Academic Year. It has active
 History, Turkish Language and Literature and Sociology Departments. As of the 2024-2025 academic fall semester, 
the Departments of History, Turkish Language and Literature and Sociology continue with a total of 990 students. ”

Purpose of Establishment:

            Bayburt University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was officially opened and started education with 
the decision numbered 2015/7723 published in the Official Gazette numbered 29377 on Friday, June 05, 2015, and students 
were first admitted to the Departments of History and Turkish Language and Literature in the 2016-2017 Academic Year. 
It has active History, Turkish Language and Literature and Sociology Departments. As of the 2024-2025 academic fall semester,
 the Departments of History, Turkish Language and Literature and Sociology continue with a total of 990 students. 
             The main purpose of the education provided in our faculty programs is; Producing science at an international 
level and providing its students with world-class professional knowledge, skills and equipment; speaks at least one foreign
language; To raise individuals who are innovative, competitive, researching, critical, able to use the knowledge they have
acquired flexibly and creatively, and respecting human rights and the values ​​of society.
