Leadership, Governance and Quality Policy
Bayburt University has established its "Leadership, Governance and Quality Policy" on the basis of the following principles in order to be an institution where education and science are prioritised and to provide qualified education services by adhering to quality standards and ethical values in line with the Development Plans, Strategic Plan goals and objectives.

  • To adopt quality and continuous improvement processes in management, to ensure compliance with national and international standards,
  • To take managerial decisions on the basis of ethical values, in a way to ensure institutionalisation and sustainability, by ensuring the participation and feedback of stakeholders with a transparent and participatory management approach,
  • To maintain its mission of being a pioneer in education and science by aiming excellence in education and research processes and to be an institution that adds value to all its stakeholders,
  • To support the academic and personal development of our students by acting with a student-centred approach and to continuously monitor student satisfaction,
  • To enable communication between our academicians and administrative staff by strengthening internal communication and to ensure fair and effective use of information and resources,
  • Encouraging our staff to provide the services and business processes they are responsible for in accordance with ethical values, respectful, fair and transparent,
  • To direct our employees to continuous improvement and innovative thinking, to carry out studies that will quickly adapt to changing training needs,
  • To fulfil our environmental and social responsibilities by adhering to international sustainability principles.

Education Policy

Education and training policy in this direction

  • To ensure that learning-oriented programmes, designed in line with local and national needs and according to the requirements of the age, are carried out by qualified teaching staff and to educate individuals who adopt ethical values, respect human rights, use information and technology, are self-confident and expressive,
  • To ensure that the graduates of the programmes are innovative in science, culture and art, aiming lifelong learning, questioning the problems of the society in which they live, aiming to be the leading power of the region and the country, solving problems together by using stakeholder-based tools and knowledge, and contributing to science in their field,
  • To ensure that education and training processes are enriched and dynamically carried out by using various methods, techniques and interactive tools, and to continuously improve them with the participation of stakeholders and to develop them in a way to meet expectations,
  • To adopt a student-centred approach based on student representation in decision-making processes related to education and training and to provide all educational services with innovative approaches and digital transformation in education
  • To ensure the integration of education and training processes with research and development, social contribution and internationalisation processes; to ensure the accreditation and continuous development of education programmes by giving priority to scientific and technological developments and quality-oriented studies.

R&D Policy
BAYÜ Strategic Plan takes the following principles into account when conducting research and development activities on the basis of its vision defined within the scope of its mission defined by law:

  • To be compatible with the mission, vision, core values, strategic plan and quality policy of the institution,
  • To adhere to the ethical principles and rules of BAYU,
  • To comply with the requirements of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,
  • To increase the number of qualified publications with academic, scientific and social content included in national and international indices,
  • To increase the number of nationally and internationally recognised projects, patents and utility models,
  • To encourage the production of products that will contribute to the economy of the region and the country, taking into account the conditions and needs of the region,
  • To contribute to informing the people of the province and the region about agriculture and animal husbandry,
  • To provide the necessary support to contribute to the research and development activities of academic staff and students, to put different tools into use to develop new ideas, to organise the necessary trainings,
  • Supporting academic staff for the transformation of R&D outputs into added value, commercial products and corporatisation.

Social Contribution Policy
Bayburt University adopts the following principles as social contribution policy in line with its mission, vision, core values, strategic plan and quality policy:

  • To carry out activities in line with the 'United Nations Sustainable Development Goals', to meet the needs of the region and the country and to contribute to its stakeholders,
  • To highlight local and regional values by reflecting the researcher and participatory identity of the institution to the society,
  • To conduct research to solve social problems on the basis of scientific approach and to present the results for the benefit of society,
  • To develop innovative solutions that support regional and national development in co-operation with all stakeholders from civil society, public and private sectors and to exhibit creative approaches in projects for the society,
  • To ensure the sustainable use of regional resources and environmental values by carrying out activities and co-operations that will support the continuous protection and development of regional resources and environmental values and raise awareness on this issue,
  • To provide training and development programmes based on the principle of lifelong learning to support the development of its stakeholders,
  • To act in line with ethical rules and universal values in all social contribution activities and to protect and develop local and cultural heritage,
  • To create opportunities for students to develop and contribute to society by ensuring their active participation in social contribution activities.

Internationalisation Policy

Bayburt University adopts the following principles as "Internationalisation Policy" within the framework of its mission, vision, Strategic Plan and Integrated Quality Management System principles and student-oriented education service delivery approach:

  • To present education programmes taking into account national and international developments,
  • To carry out joint projects and collaborations with universities that are recognised at home and abroad for their scientific infrastructure and capacity,
  • To increase both international mobility and the knowledge and experience of staff and students by encouraging their participation in international exchange programmes,
  • To increase the awareness, recognition and cooperation of these countries about the culture and values of the region through international mobility and international student admission,
  • To make the region attractive for cooperation also for these countries by actively participating in European Union programmes and projects and carrying out joint projects,
  • To ensure that all transactions within the scope of international exchange processes are carried out in digital environment,
  • To make improvements in the processes based on the feedback received from academic and administrative staff, students and international students who benefit from international mobility.
