Autobiography

Dr. Mehmet UYAR was born in May 1990 in the village of Gerdibi, located in the Aladağ district of Adana, Turkey. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education before enrolling in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Erciyes University, where he received his bachelor's degree between September 2006 and June 2011.

From May 2011 to December 2011, he worked as a project engineer at ANDA Makine Mühendislik Ltd. Şti., a private engineering company. Between September 2011 and January 2015, he pursued his Master's degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Machine Dynamics and Theory, at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Erciyes University. From November 2011 to June 2014, he was involved as a scholarship holder in the SAN-TEZ project titled “Urban Electric Individual Transportation Vehicle,” supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.

In December 2013, Dr. UYAR was appointed as a Research Assistant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Bayburt University. Within the scope of the Faculty Development Program (ÖYP), he completed his Ph.D. studies at Dokuz Eylül University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Machine Dynamics and Theory (English program), between April 2015 and April 2021. During this period, he also served as a Research Assistant at Dokuz Eylül University.

Since August 2022, Dr. UYAR has been working as an Assistant Professor at Bayburt University, Technical Sciences Vocational School, Department of Electronics and Automation. In June 2024, he was awarded the academic title of “Associate Professor” in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. UYAR has authored 10 articles indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI), along with 8 national/international journal publications and 25 national/international conference papers. His research interests include Mechanical Vibrations, Finite Element Method (FEM), Passive and Active Vibration Control, Smart Piezoelectric Materials, and Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting.
