Erasmus+ Mobility Program with Partner Countries (KA107)

As it is known, it has been possible to carry out higher education student and staff mobility to the program countries in Europe through the Erasmus program, which has been implemented in our country since 2004. With the Erasmus+ program, which started in 2015, the scope of application of the said activity has been expanded and it has become possible to carry out higher education student and staff mobility with many countries called "Partner Countries".

Objectives of Mobility Projects with Partner Countries:

Mobility with Partner Countries is a type of activity that offers higher education students and staff the opportunity to learn or gain professional experience in another country. The main objectives of the activity have been determined as supporting the personal development and employability of higher education students, supporting the professional development of staff working in higher education institutions and improving the capacities and international dimension of higher education institutions. In addition, supporting individuals in acquiring competences such as activity, knowledge, skills and behavior, strengthening their competence in foreign languages, increasing awareness and understanding about different cultures and countries, developing a sense of European citizenship, establishing international communication networks, It is designed to serve purposes such as ensuring the recognition of qualifications.

Although a structure very similar to the traditional Erasmus mobility activity is perceived when these objectives are considered, the following objectives specific to the Mobility with Partner Countries activity reveal the difference of the activity:

  • Achieving a strong international dimension through cooperation with partner countries,
  • Increasing interest in higher education in Europe and supporting the competitiveness of European higher education institutions in the world higher education market,
  • To support the internationalization and modernization of higher education institutions outside of Europe, with the aim of promoting the development of partner countries.

Activities that can be carried out within the scope of the Mobility with Partner Countries Project:

Similar to the traditional Erasmus activity, students registered at different levels of higher education and personnel working in higher education institutions can carry out the activities named below.

Student Mobility: It is the mobility of higher education students from our country to partner countries and from partner countries to our country with the aim of studying and doing internship.

Staff Mobility: The following sub-activities can be carried out within the scope of staff mobility with partner countries.

  • Mobility of higher education staff from our country to partner countries and from partner countries to our country to teach,
  • Mobility of higher education staff from our country to partner countries and from partner countries to our country to receive education,
  • Mobility of staff of a non-academic institution in our country to teach at a higher education institution in the partner country,
  • Mobility of staff of a higher education institution in a partner country to study at a non-academic institution in our country,
  • Mobility of non-academic institution staff in partner country to give lectures to higher education institution in our country.

In this framework, it is necessary to establish an agreement with the Partner Countries in order to carry out mobility activities with the higher education institutions of the partner countries.

In order to realize student, teaching staff and administrative staff mobility with Partner Countries, our units are required to make bilateral agreements with higher education institutions in the appropriate Partner Countries.

What is KA107 not?

  • It is not a full extension of the KA103 activity.
  • There is a selection process with limited financial resources and a competitive selection process. Project applications submitted to the National Agency are subject to quality evaluation.
  • Project owner universities also carry out 'incoming' activities together with 'outgoing'.
  • Although it has similar rules to KA103 rules, there are points where it diverges.
